Typical fitting times are less than 10 minutes and normal tyre fitting machines or standard hand tools can be used. For more information on fitting visit the Runflat CBR fitting page.
Single piece wheels are not designed to carry loadings in the centre section of their rims. As a consequence, sometimes it is found that upgraded or heavy duty wheel need to be used to avoid failure in the event of running flat when conventional runflat inserts are fitted, as they all transfer loads into this centre section.
All versions of Runflat CBR transfer loadings directly into the tyre bead ‘seat’ area of the wheel, precisely where it is designed to carry any load.
NOTE All tests have been conducted with all 4 tyres deflated when running on standard single piece drop-centre wheels.

Exceeded FINABEL A.20.A extended (150km) in testing with all 4 tyres deflated, on the vehicle’s (Toyota Land Cruiser, loaded to MGW) standard wheels and normal tyres. In addition, testing also included successful all-tyres-down slalom trials and 70mph handling, on the same tyres and runflats.
